FAQ

Q: What is the difference between fipronil and abamectin?
A: The mechanism of action of abamectin needs to enter the blood circulation of pets and then metabolize through liver and kidney, while fipronil is mainly stored in sebaceous glands through oil diffusion, which has less impact on the burden of liver and kidney.

Q: Is fipronil safe to use with other medications?
A: Fipronil should not be used along with certain seizure medications, as it may increase the risk of neurotoxic side effects. Always check with your vet before using fipronil treatment along with any other medications. When used properly and as directed for routine parasite control in otherwise healthy dogs and cats, fipronil is generally safe with most medications but the veterinarian should always be consulted regarding possible interactions.

Q: How long do I have to avoid swimming/bathing after applying this product?
A: It is best to avoid swimming, bathing or shampooing dogs and cats for 24 hours after applying N4P Fipronil Transdermal Solution. This allows adequate time for the solution to disperse from application site into deeper tissues, where fipronil accumulates and continues working for up to one month. Bathing or water exposure too soon after application could dilute the product and reduce effectiveness. Monthly re-application helps ensure appropriate fipronil levels for control and prevention.
