FAQ

Q: Can I use N4P Eyes Drops if my pet has an eye infection?
A: No, N4P Eyes Drops are not medicated and will not treat an active eye infection. They are meant for routine cleaning and hygiene only. If your dog or cat shows symptoms of an eye infection like excessive redness, swelling, squinting or pawing at the eyes, consult your vet for an exam and proper medication. Do not use any eye cleaners or drops if an infection is present unless advised and prescribed by your vet.

Q: How do I properly clean my dog or cat’s eyes?
A: To properly clean eyes and reduce tear stains:

1.Check eyes regularly for any redness, discharge, squinting or debris. See your vet if any symptoms of infection appear before attempting to clean eyes.

2.Invest in a quality eye cleanser and drops made for dogs and cats. Never use human products which can irritate sensitive eyes.

3.Apply eye drops or cleanser if directed by your vet. Gently wipe away any discharge or stain residue with a damp cloth or pad.

4.Trim or pluck excess hair around eyes to prevent irritation and keep area clean. See a groomer or vet to properly trim hair and avoid injury.

5.Bathe your dog or cat regularly to keep coat and eyes clean. Gently wipe eyes with a damp cloth to remove any shampoo residue after bathing.

6.Make eye cleaning and examination a regular part of your at-home pet grooming routine to ensure ongoing eye health and catch any issues early. Healthy, clean eyes are key to your pet’s comfort and vision.

7.For tear stains, clean eyes regularly and make sure to check for and wipe any excess tearing to prevent buildup. You can also discuss tear stain removal pads or wipes formulated for dogs and cats with your vet.

8.Never use over the counter human eye drops or contact lens solutions on pets. These can damage their eyes or cause dangerous poisoning.
