FAQ

Q: Will the spray harm my pet or damage furniture/floors?
A: When used as directed, the spray is non-toxic and safe for use around pets and in the home. It does not stain or damage most home surfaces. However, it’s best to test in an inconspicuous area first, especially on porous or light-colored surfaces. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs in pet. Proper ventilation and avoiding heat/open flame mitigates risk of respiratory irritation from essential oil scent.

Q: How long does one application last? Do I need to reapply?
A: Effectiveness can vary based on area, ventilation and pet. In general, the spray deters pets for 12-24 hours before reapplication is needed. You’ll need to reapply regularly during initial training, especially if using to correct an unwanted behavior that has already been established. Once the behavior is modified with consistent training, reapplication typically only needs to be 1-2 times weekly to maintain. For especially stubborn pets, more frequent use and training may be required.

Q: Why is training your pet important when using this product?
A: Training is essential for this product to work effectively and safely modify your pet’s behavior. The unpleasant scent deters pets, but your pet must also learn the association between the spray, the command and avoiding that area. Without proper training, pets may become used to the spray smell and continue to enter the area, or may become fearful/anxious about the spray instead of learning to avoid just the targeted space. Consistent, positive training helps build the connection that following your commands and staying away from the sprayed spots will be rewarded, resulting in a well-trained, happy pet!
